DCSA Pre-professional Arabela Alvarado awarded full scholarship to San Francisco Ballet School!

Arabela Alvarado to launch to San Francisco Ballet School for summer intensive and year-long program!

Join us in congratulating DCSA Pre-professional Arabela Alvarado on her full scholarship for summer intensive and year long program 2022-2023 to San Francisco Ballet School!

Arabela Alvarado has trained with DCSA Artistic Director Vanessa Bessler for 10 years. She has competed in numerous ballet competitions receiving first place in Classical ballet every year from 2019-2022 at Youth America Grand Prix, and has been accepted to and attended prestigious international ballet intensive programs in Russia and Europe. She is grateful to have been awarded a number of short-term and year-round placement scholarships and offers. She has received short term scholarships to the Princesse Grace Academy and Tanz Akademie Zurich, and summer scholarships to San Francisco Ballet, Kansas City Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet Academy (NY). She was also accepted to Tanz Akademie Zurich's year-round program on full scholarship.

Arabela attended Dance Center of San Antonio Academic Program and is a member of National Honor Society of Dance Arts.

She was also a principal dancer for the Children's Ballet of San Antonio where she performed the role of Clara and the role of Jasmine in Aladdin during the 2021-2022 season.
