  • We are the region's premier classical ballet training center, dance and performing arts school in San Antonio, TX. Our mission is about inspiration and hard work, giving dancers the opportunity to discover joy for the arts, to develop confidence and high self-esteem, to find their drive and leadership skills. Our studio offers numerous resources, including pre-professional dance classes, unparalleled performance opportunities, private instruction, choreography and strong connections to recognized dance personalities in both the national and international stage.

  • We provide world-class dance and performing arts training, and academic education in a state-of-the-art-facility in order to nuture and develop haughty, efficient artists who will represent San Antonio proudly in national and international events and become successful leaders in the future.

    We have three divisions of training: Pre-professional Day Training, Pre-professional After-school Training, Recreational classes.

    • Pre-professional Day Training is a rigorous, training program attended by high-level artists pursuing a professional career or collegiate dance track.

    • Pre-professional After-school Program provides the same high-quality training in a nurturing and supportive environment.

    • Recreational students are taught by the same high-quality teachers providing a solid arts foundation.

  • Artistic Director, Vanessa Bessler, started the business after teaching around in different area schools. She noticed the amount of talent but lack of professional training in the city making San Antonio pretty silent in the international world of ballet and dance in general. Working closely with her founding students, the results quickly showed putting San Antonio for the first time in the eye of the international world of ballet and dance. Over 10 years, DCSA has become the first and only studio in San Antonio presenting dancers in internationally renowned events like: International Ballet Compeition in Jackson, MS (often called the Olympics of ballet), Vaganova Prix in St. Petersburg Russia, Prix de Lausanne in Switzerland, Youth America Gran Prix World Final round in New York among others. Additionally, her graduates have become successful professionals in many areas, not just the arts, attending Ivy League and top schools, many working at some of the most well-known performance companies and corporations in the world.
