AUDITIONS FOR OUR SPRING BREAK INTENSIVE ARE HERE!
Our one-week intensives are a fantastic opportunity for aspiring dancers to refine their skills. Whether you're passionate about classical ballet, eager to perfect your pointe technique, or looking to explore contemporary or jazz dance, this intensive has something for everyone.
Our Spring Break Intensives promises a week of immersive learning and artistic growth. With a curriculum that includes classical ballet lessons, pointe technique, repertoire, contemporary dance, floor barre, and stretching, you'll have the chance to enhance your skills and discover new facets of your dance abilities.

We welcome students from all over the globe! Each dancer is assessed based on their unique abilities. Successful candidates showcase age-appropriate technique, musicality, dedication to growth, and a genuine desire to improve.

$20 per person, 1 hour audition, Males & Females will audition at same time
Saturday, February 22: 10 am (age 8-12), 12 pm (age 13+)
Monday, February 24: 5 pm (age 8-12), 6 pm (age 13+)
Saturday, March 29: 10 am (age 8-12), 12 pm (age 13+)
Monday, February 31: 5 pm (age 8-12), 6 pm (age 13+)

Video auditions are accepted at any time before March 1 for Spring and May 1 for Summer. Video auditions should be emailed to information@dancecenterofsanantonio.org.

Students must include one recent photo with their audition registration: 1st arabesque.

At the beginning of the video, you should introduce yourself and state your age, the number of year(s) of ballet/dance study, the number of years of pointe work (if applicable), the name(s) of your current school and teacher(s), and any previous summer intensive programs, festivals and/or international ballet competitions in which you have participated.
Video should be a variation or solo.
OR Classwork is sufficient also if you do not have a solo or variation.
Exercises at the barre
Center work (including adagio, pirouettes)
Allegro (jumps)
Pointe work for dancers 12 y.o. and older (11 y.o. pointe at the barre if on pointe)
Younger dancers should also show flexibility

Non-refundable, full payment due upon registration. Tuition will not be prorated. No make-up days.
Results are emailed within 2 weeks from the audition and sent to the email entered at registration.

Master Teachers
Nurlan Kinerbayev
Mr Kinerbayev, is from Taraz, Karakhstan. He received his training from Almaty Choreographic College and University of Ballashak. He danced with State Academic Opera Ballet Theatre, Samara Academic Opera & Ballet Theatre, Moscow City Balla and the Russian National Ballet.
Aliaksandra Sasha Krukava
Ms. Krukava is originally from Minsk, Belarus. She graduated from Minsk Ballet Academy in 2012. She completed an internship in Manchester, United Kingdom. Ms. Krukava danced many roles with the Minsk State Theatre of Opera & Ballet and the Russian National Ballet.
