1st Graduate from DCSA Academic program

Congratulations to William Bessler - CLASS OF 2024!

DCSA Day Program & Academic Program honors graduate William Bessler was celebrated at our End of Year ceremony. William successfully completed the pre-professional training program as well as curricular requirements from iSchool Virtual Academy of Texas. He is the first graduate of the DCSA Academic Program. He will pursue a degree at St. Mary's University in San Antonio starting in the Fall bringing college credits from his dual credit program, and will be performing with an international ballet touring company.

As a DCSA Day Program & Academic Program student, William achieved:

  • Dance: Austin Ballet, Butler Fellowship & SI scholarship

  • Dance: JOCI Finalist, Dance & scholarship

  • Dance: John Cranko NYC SI scholarship

  • Dance: Ballet West SI scholarship

  • Dance: Bolshoi NYC SI scholarship ('20, '21, '23)

  • Dance: Colorado Ballet SI scholarship

  • Dance: Performed numerous leading roles with Children's Ballet of San Antonio: Le Corsaire, Solor in Bayadere, Nutcracker, Sugar Plum Cavalier, Cinderella Prince, Sleeping Beauty Prince.

  • Academics: National Honor Society of Dance Arts, Graduation with Honors distinction

  • Academics: Honor Roll every semester since 2022

  • Academics: Masters Levels STAAR US History EOC
