COVID-19 Precautions at DCSA
Dear DCSA Families:
Thank you for your continued support of the Dance Center of San Antonio and the continued engagement of your dancer during this incredible time. We pray that you and your family remain health and safe.
All students participating in DCSA classes in person at the DCSA studio, are required to complete and return a DCSA COVID-19 Waiver prior to beginning in person classes.
Masks are optional at DCSA at this time.
Dancers who are exhibiting symptoms should get a PCR test and participate via Zoom until the test results are returned.
At-home rapid tests may be used given how tough PCR test access is right now. If the initial test is negative, we encourage a second test 24 hours later.
If the test result is negative, the student can come back to the studio.
If the test is positive, the dancer should isolate for 5 days after the date of the test or the date when symptoms began (if it can be determined). Dancers still exhibiting symptoms or who have a fever after 5 days, will be asked to complete a full 10-day isolation before returning to the studio.
Dancers who are fully vaccinated, including a booster shot, and who have had a close contact exposure but are not exhibiting symptoms can continue with classes in most situations.
They must be attentive to always wear a mask, wiping down their areas (barre, seat, etc), and should get a PCR test on the 5th day after the exposure.
At-home rapid tests may be used given how tough PCR test access is right now. If the initial test is negative, we encourage a second test 24 hours later.
Dancers who are not fully vaccinated, including a booster shot, and who have had close contact exposure in the same household (i.e.: sibling or parent living in the same house) are asked to
Participate via Zoom for 5 days, get tested, and assuming a negative test, return to in-person classes.
At-home rapid tests may be used given how tough PCR test access is right now. If the initial test is negative, we encourage a second test 24 hours later.
If the test is positive, then the student isolates for 5 days after the date of the test or the onset of symptoms if the date can be determined. Dancers still exhibiting symptoms or who have a fever after 5 days, will be asked to complete a full 10-day isolation before returning to the studio.
